Our History

New Caribbean American School was founded to continue the education legacy established by Caribbean American School founded in 1979 and New American School founded in 1991. Located in the heart of Pétion-Ville we welcome alumni from both schools and future N.C.A.S. graduates.

Our mission is to empower students by creating an intellectual and challenging environment that encourages high expectations for success.

Guided by Christian values and the New York State curriculum, we nurture, educate, and graduate students who are civic-minded and socially responsible.

Our graduates’ high school transcripts are evaluated and validated by World Education Services, which allows our students to enroll in colleges such as Nova Southeastern University-Fort Lauderdale, FL; Pace University-New York, NY; Temple University, Philadelphia, PA or universities in the Dominican Republic, Brazil, and Canada. Today, our graduates are successful doctors, marine biologists, engineers and are in the music industry.

Our vision at New Caribbean American School is to empower students to becoming socially responsible young adults. We will guide them in attaining self-confidence and mindfulness in order to reach their maximum potential. We will do this by giving students an assortment of opportunities to learn, develop, and flourish. With the synergy of state of the art technologies, well-trained mentors and the right scholastic environment found at N.C.A.S. our graduates will reach their maximum promise. We will instill in our students, abilities that will bolster them, as life-long learners, to partake and contribute in the ever-changing world.
